2022–Present
My journey with Merrill Student Government (MSG) has been one of steady growth, deep responsibility, and ongoing transformation. I started as a Member-at-Large, getting a feel for how student government operated. The following year, I stepped into the role of Secretary, where I took on the logistical core of our organization. I was drafting weekly agendas, maintaining transparent meeting records, and coordinating with my team to allocate over $60,000 in funding for student jobs, events, and infrastructure.
As Vice-Chair, I moved into operations leadership where I was managing the workstreams of five executive board members, streamlining workflows, and helping drive execution across committees. I introduced a structured agenda revision system, which increased our project completion rate by 70%, and launched the now famous “pizza push” initiative, which grew weekly meeting attendance by 400%, making student government more approachable and inclusive for the student body.
Now, as Chair, I lead the executive board and represent Merrill College’s student voice in campus-wide matters. I focus on long-term vision, cross-functional coordination, and ensuring every initiative, whether it's funding a cultural event, advocating for facilities upgrades, or planning large-scale programming, is grounded in both student interest and efficient execution.
MSG has grown not just in numbers, but in credibility, community presence, and leadership continuity. And being at the helm of that growth has been one of the most rewarding parts of my college experience.
